And just like that, March is nearly here! February thankfully flew past and now we will start to see the awakening of spring and hopefully revitalising energy for all! In March Winter finally holds back and Spring pulls forward with lengthening days & evenings, it’s a time for coming out of hibernation, the anticipation of vibrant times ahead, and definitely time to plan some fun evenings out with family & friends!
We've got so much planned over the coming weeks at The Sail Loft Dartmouth, and we kick off March on Friday 1st with LIVE MUSIC with Rob Hunt and Pizza Night at The Sail Loft. So come on down for a great evening, and remember you can pre-book tables up in our 1st Floor LOUNGE for Pizzas & Fries. We are CLOSED on Saturday 2nd March for a Private Event, but the good news is we will be opening on Thursdays again in March, starting 7th March, with our inaugural BINGO NIGHT!! We can't wait, it's going to be a lot of fun with some truly amazing prizes! There will be more LIVE MUSIC with Giles Nuttall and Pizzas on Friday 8th March, and on Saturday 9th our doors open at 2pm for Six Nations 2024 - Italy vs Scotland followed by England vs Ireland being shown Live on our Big Screen. It is also our GUEST CHEF NIGHT - PIE & MASH NIGHT with Ben Handley. Coincidentally it is National Pie Week and you have a choice of Chuck Steak, Onion & Devon Dumpling Ale Pie or Roast Pumpkin, Spinach and Pine Nut Pie, both served with Mash, Minted Peas & Onion Gravy for only £15 - an absolute Bargain!! Thursday 14th March we are open for drinks only, and Friday 15th is LIVE MUSIC with Jack Benjamin & Pizzas, and Saturday 16th is the Six Nations Finale with all 3 matches being shown, Wales vs Italy, Ireland vs Scotland & France vs England with Pizzas being served from 5pm. Thursday 21st sees the return of our popular Thursday Night Steak Night with The Cellar Door. Booking in advance is essential. Please go to our website to book in for. Steak Night. As our Annual Winter Break comes to an end, we have been busy working hard behind the scenes at The Sail Loft Dartmouth cleaning, planning, & Sarah has also been doing a little bit of shopping, but Rupert has only allowed her to purchase some new candles this year! It’s finally Opening Week here The Sail Loft Dartmouth and before we open our doors again this Friday at 5pm, it is always so good to look back and see how far we’ve come! (See pictures below!)
From literally an old Sail Loft, to pop-up bar (remember that?! ) to KITCHEN | BAR | LOUNGE | EVENT VENUE, there has been so much change over the years, and we are still evolving today! .We are looking forward to opening our doors up to all our wonderful customers again on Friday 9th February, and it is going to be a February full of fun! We have some great live music lined up for you on our FRIDAY MUSIC NIGHTS, including Lost Natives, Jack Benjamin, Giles Nuttall, & Rob Hunt, along with our delicious Pizzas & Seasoned Fries being served from 5.30-8.30pm (tables can be booked in our 1st floor LOUNGE, but sorry no dogs allowed up there). The 2024 Guinness Men's Six Nations Rugby Championship also gets underway with the Saturday afternoon matches being screened Live on our Big Screen from Saturday 10th February. Saturdays also see the return of GUEST CHEF NIGHTS at the Loft. Saturday 10th February we welcome back the hugely talented Dan & Charlie from The Cellar Door with their Thai Inspired Night, and on Saturday 24th February Jake Bridgwood returns with what we know will be an incredibly popular Seafood Special, so book early via our website to avoid disappointment. March is going to be a busy one too, with the return of our famous Thursday Steak Nights, more fabulous singers on Live Music Fridays, and the perfect combination of Rugby, Pizzas and even a Pie & Mash Night with Ben Handley on Saturdays. It is definitely a night not to be missed.. We are so excited that the Dartmouth Food Festival is once again nearly upon us. A heady mix of celebrity chefs, parties, food markets, tasting shacks and demonstrations, the festival is now a landmark event on the culinary calendar, and even better, it is a free festival.
We are very proud to be hosting the Dartmouth Food Festival Sponsors Party at The Sail Loft Dartmouth for over 100 guests, what a brilliant way to start the week and we have so much planned for this weekend!
